Teddy Pop

In June 2021, I interned at MassDIGI for their MassDIGI XP Program which I learned the game development processes, monetization, and backend analytics, and more. MassDIGI had gotten me out of a player’s mindset and into a game designer’s mindset, and through that I was able to better understand the decision making and development choices that needed to be made. I worked with a very diverse team from all over New England to publish a 2D mobile bubble shooter game Teddy Pop, available on the Play Store and the App Store. It was made in Unity. I was a programmer and UI designer on the team and I worked closely with other departments to facilitate the progress of game development. We used Ryver and Miro for team communication and planning. As for our source control, we used Plastic SCM.

After the summer internship with the MassDIGI XP Program was over, I also did a MassDIGI digiStudios Program for the Fall of 2021 in September. In the program, I was able to help mentor newcomers to the project and help look over the analytics and see how we can further improve our game to have better retention rates and other bugs that were overlooked. We used DevToDev for retention rate and data analytics.
